Got a few questions

If the birth cert for 1875 is correct then not able to find a matching marriage for the parents. What is the occupation of John Turner on the birth cert?

Have you managed to find Alice Turner born 1900 on 1901 census? What are the details of her parents and occupation from the birth cert and where was Alice born?

What is the occupation of Oliver/William on his marriage cert?

Maureen

Potty, they married in between, if this is the right marriage. Children's Births range 1898 - 1922 .
I went back from my gt. nan Alice Turner 1900

The name Ayres just keeps popping up on the certs along with the Norris for Hester / Esther.

If i have the right family, they have links to Dorset as well.

Thank you
Be back soon bath and bed time for them now, lol.

Why do you think she used the name Ayres as well??
There arent any births coming up for Turner Norris post 1916 that would fit with them if they lived in Hampshire

I see he married as William:
Marriages Jun 1916 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Norris Esther Turner Fareham 2b 1293
Pike Louisa Turner Fareham 2b 1293
Turner Edward Pike Fareham 2b 1293
Turner William Norris Fareham 2b 1293

Were all the children born after the marriage in 1916? If so, that would make Ester at least 54 when the last one was born. Having a first child at 43 would be a bit unusual too.

Also, if Oliver/William was 46 in 1916, that would give a birth of 1870 not 1875.

How have you got back to him?

As you may well guess this is giving me an almighty headache and i really would appreciate some help with this family. I Have a birth certificate and a marriage and a death but i cannot find them on census reports at all.

Oliver Turner b. 1875 Andover , county of Southampton.
Father John Turner.
Mother Susan Turner Formally Whitlock

He married Ester Norris in 1916.
He was 46 and a bat and she was 43 and a spinster.

I have 11 children but i am beginning to doubt some of them due to; Oliver seemingly using the name William Oliver as well. Also Hester seems to like the Esther (might be the way she dropped her 'H's, i have 7 of the 11) She also seems to add bits she is either formally Ayres or Norris

Sorry if its not easy to read and i will be back in a couple of hours need to do the girls dinner.
Thank you

I HAVE FOUND THEM IN THE 1911 CENSUS,
he is using the name William Turner and she is using the name Hester Turner still have had no luck in finding them on anyother census but the 1911 .
