desperately need help. searching for william henry lee (brn around 1852+2) married to emma parry around 1874, had son (my great grandfather) henry taylor lee, henry born winchester, hampshire and joined the 4th rifles, based in dublin in 1898. I'm sure william was a bandsman in the rifles

gosh, thanks for quick replies. thanks pollypoppet, think you could be right there, ,i wish they'd put middle names in too then i'd be more confident. I know Henry married an elizbeth wetherhead around 1898, my grandfather henry albert taylor lee was their son born in1901 in hartney witney, hampshire, I've got the 1911 census with henry and his family but havent been able to trace him before that or william. Thanks mood blue. I am 99% sure that is my ancesters. I'd love to know if william had brothers or sisters and wether he and emma had more children than henry. Rumour has it that the eldest boy is given the name taylor i.e henry Taylor and his son (my granddad) Henry albert taylor lee

Hi Phil,

I do not think that your William Henry Lee could have been born in 1852circ as, if the marriage is the right one in 1866, he would have been very young when married...........12 or 14 years of age?

It is therefore quite possible that the Emma Parry below is of the correct age to be a future wife of WilliamH.

Could William Henry have died quite young?
