I have a copy of a birth certificate where a declaration was made by the mother. She gives an address in another registration area to that of the place of birth. |

Fantastic thanks for that. My mum was given up for adoption so presumably her mother didnt go in person and there is no record of father!! |

I think what this means is that the birth was notified to the registrare in writing rather than in person. I have a certificate which has the words 'as per declaration dated...' after the father's details. |

have at last got my mums real birth cert......anyone know what a declaration could mean which was made two days before the birth was registered and input on certificate as just that. |
