james martin, old castle, co. meath

hi all. this lot have been giving me trouble for a while!
i'm trying to find decendants of james (and mary) martin of old castle. they had at least 6 kids. mary (my grandmother) ned (edward) who i belive followed his sister (elizabeth) to america round 1900 to 1910
i belive their gran (also a mary) died about 1900 ages 103!
but i can't find any thing!!!!!
this is getting FUSTRATING as i've managed to get my grandfather's family back to about 1580, and my mothers to about the same time.
i just don't seem able to get anywhere on this branch!!!
any help greatfully recieved!
oh, i should add i think he was born about 1840, and my gran about 1880

A lot of Martin's in Meath.

Possibilities???

Edward Martin 1888 Qtr.4 Vol.3 Page 247 Oldcastle, Meath

Death:
Elizabeth Martin 1893 (100yrs) Qtr.1 Vol.2 Page 690 Kells Meath
Mary Martin 1878 (99yrs) Qtr.4 Vol.2 Page 706 Kells Meath

Hi Bill

Have you used www.pilot.familysearch.org to search the irish registration indexes 1845-1958?

There are quite a few Mary Martins from Meath who died 1899/1900 unfotunately none are listed as being 103!

There's also brsgenealogy.com but is 5 euro a cert. On this site there is a Mary Martin who died 1899, a Mary Martin b 1880, Edward Martin baptism 1871, 1872 and 1888 and Elizabeth Martin baptism 1876, 1880, 1882 and 1883 all in Co. Meath. There are also 20 James Martins born 1836-1844 in Meath.

You could also try this site http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~irlmea2/
This has census info from some townlands in Meath and info on the parish of Oldcastle

thanx all!
wow that was quick!
i've used this site for the last few years and managed to meet up with some far flung cousins so i know how helpfull it can be, but guys that was quick!
kay, i think that mary and edward look good, so will check them out tomorrow.
working all hours these days so please forgive me if i seem slow to repond.
off to my pit now as have to get on with tiling the kichen in the morning (so i can have lunch!) then another late shift!
