Samantha

Unless someone here recgonises the names, there is very little as far as online records go we can do to find them. They will not appear on electoral rolls etc until they are 18.

I do believe there is nothing you can do to find them until they are 16?

I wish you luck

THE OTHER ARE VERY MUCH YOUNGER.

THIS ISN'T REALLY THE PLACE TO MAKE PUBLIC THIS SORT OF INFO

i think u ought to go through the proper channels and by going by this website from the government. Im not sure if Samantha has to wait until her daughter is 18 to seek permission to contact her or she can apply now.

Samantha should get some advice not lecturing!

I may be wrong, but I do not think that any right minded person will touch this one with a barge pole. Previous attemps have ended in complete disaster , ( this type of enqiry, not this particular one) Just my opinion, that is all.

i was just suggesting she goes through the proper channels and directing her to what the government says someone should do rather than here.

To be fair Julia there is actually very little we can do apart from confirm the birth details as the BM knows them!

As their ages are very young, there is going to be a good long wait before the BM has any rights to contact her children,

Derek, that is most def the best way forward.

Samantha, if i were you i'd spend the next however long getting you data onto all the various websites that allow you to register your interest in finding your children. It has to be said tho, you cannot force then to contact you, you will have to be patient and wait for them to be ready to be contacted.

Like i said before, Good luck

Derek, I don't think Julia was talking to you!

It is completely inappropriate for any amateur stranger to get involved in a search for an adopted minor. That's Julia's (and others') point.

Someone related might see Samantha's post, someone like a responsible adult, and want to follow up on it. Other than that, I agree: other GR members should indeed recommend proper channels (although I don't believe there are such channels for trying to contact an adopted minor, other than with the adoptive parents' involvement) and leave it at that.

Derek

I wasn't lecturing, caps lock was not deliberate, BUT having looked up the other births and realise justhow young these children are, it would be totally inappropriate for anyone to furnish poster with info that she doesn't already know . There is always some ''kind soul'' that will.

Sorry to be sounding harsh - if you were 9 and given for adoption in the last 10 years, you would be able to recieve cards & letters from your birth mother though a system called letter box. How adoptive parents cope with that I dont know. Presumably this is in place- if it isn't then its for a VERY good reason.

Imagine again , at the age of 9 you suddenly had your world tipped off it axis this way- Birth mother suddenly appearing when you may not even be old enough to understand you are adopted!

18 is the age deemed appropraite, for very good reasons.

I was not meaning to cause offence to anyone on here with my remarks yesterday. I have seen only too well, what queries of this nature, have done to people. These children are obviously so young, as have others been. Surely there are proper channels that Samamtha can go through, though I do not know what information she will achieve. Perhaps many have forgotten the 'Tracy' debacle, of not long ago. Alot of good natured people must have been left reeling at the consequences of that particular foray into the unknown.
Once again, no offence was meant, and I apologise.
