Advice on tracing a GREEN

Looks like you have the right one then - he is with his mother Mary at that address on 1901.

I would have liked to have found Mary with David somewhere but I can't.

David must have died before 1881 census as she is a widow and I can't find a birth for William which 'quite' fits.

Perhaps the death cert will tell us something?

I have found him in the following Census;
1881, 1891 & 1901 - so guesstimate on birth year based on this info.
Marriage Date: 15th July 1902

Profession Electrical wireman
4 Ada Avenue Waterloo St, Hull
David Green (deceased) Rank or Profession of Father looks like Groom(?)

Wife Details:
Florrie Claxton Age 26 years Spinster
46 Sykes St, Hull
William Claxton, Plumber

Married in the catholic chapel, jarrett st.
Witnesses: John O'Neill & Martha Claxton

Do you have his birth for definate as c 1871 as I can't seem to tie that one up with a father called David on the Census's?

Can you put all the info from the weding cert on here, including occupations and witnesses etc. so we can be sure we have the right one.

There is another death for someone of the same name in the same area a couple of years later but the age does not fit.

Thanks,

We don't know what happened to him, but I think it is a reasonable guess that he never left the Hull area. I will probably order the certificate you have found.
Thanks heaps for your help.
Rebecca.

Would he have died in Hull?

There is this possible for a death for him in 1943:

Yorkshire Death indexes for the years: 1943
Surname Forename(s) Age Sub-District Registers At Reference
GREEN William R 71 Paragon Hull PAR/9/341

GRO Ref Hull 9d 330 ... March Q

I would like advice on what to do / where to go next... I am looking for records for the Green's in our tree but am stuck with the following:
I have found William Robert Green in a few Census records which suggest his birth was in Hull in 1871.
I have his marriage certificate from 15th July 1902 to Florrie Claxton. His father's name on this is David Green.
I have 2 x letters from him from Hull in 1939 (to his son in Australia) - he was never heard from again after this and assumed dead.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find more details on him?
Thanks Rebecca.
