Carol,
I have been to the records office in Cardiff and found them very helpful, they will help you to look in the right records. They found where some of my ancestors were buried and I found a lot of info. on the graves. If you can get there it is worth a visit.

Many thanks for the suggestion. I will have a look. I have found several David Williams on various sites, but have no way of knowing whether any of them would be the right one.

I have debated whether to travel to Barry or go to the Library in Aberystwyth to try and see what I can find out, but not sure whether they will just hold the same records as in other Archive centres. There seems to be so much information out there, but it is knowing where to start!

Thanks again for the suggestion.

Regards.

Hi, I'm trying to trace a David Williams. All I know is that he was from Barry and born around 1900 (give or take a few years). He worked at Cammell Lairds Shipbuilders in Birkenhead during the 1930's. I have no idea how to start looking for further information on him. Grateful for any suggestions. Thanks. Carol
