Hi ,anyone out there who likes solving the unsolvable !! well unsolvable to me anyway !!
I have my husband's grandmother Jane Davies 08/10/1892 Wolstanton Burslem Stafford .......17/04/1982 Baxenden Lancashire.
Have been looking to see if there were two Jane Davies born same date same area.
As birth cert and marriage cert have different fathers.
Not on census with birth parents on census with marriage cert father .
Birth parents are Charles & Catherine .
Marriage and to her John Davies.
Please put me out of my misery someone !!!

Thank you for replying.
Have seen the 1893 date one and that would correspond with the1901 census showing John ,Mary and Jane age 8.
Think can rule out Jane Elizabeth as grandma no middle name.
So it's got to be the 1892 or 1893 Jane.
The copy of birth ..for the Factory and Workshop Act that we have for Jane showing 08/10/1892 could be the wrong one sent for in 1905.
OOh imagine that then celebrating a day which isn't your birthday !!
Our Jane's marriage was 06/08/1916 to Anthony Chadwick at St Paul's Parish Church Burslem.Father John Davies.Not the Charles Davies on the copy of birth we have.
Think I'll have to send for the 1893 Jane b cert.
Sorry don't know what an aspro is ?????

Ha Ha Ha Ha !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! aspro...I haven't of that for aspirin
I thought it was some gene speak I hadn't heard of ,yes if the cert I've now sent for comes back as different for our Jane ........................................... I will need " certifying "myself under heavy sedation !! ha ha ha
Not worth mentioning to my 86 mother-in-law that her mother might have been celebrating the wrong birthday !!!
