accident 1867 Taff Vale Railway

william baker was killed while working on the taff vale railway as a plate layer in the parish of radyr. he died 8 may 1867 age 35 . he was born molland ,devon 1831.has anybody any details on how he came to be in s wales at the time of his death .any info welcome . |

Probably moved for employment. We have ancestors who were born in Somerset who came to London and worked on the railways. |

Radyr is still there as a station - it's about ten minutes walk from my house - there used to be a big depot there with a row of terraced railway houses which are now much sought after - my son is a train driver and worked out of Radyr for a short while |
