Found this family in 1861. Off to see if I can find them in 1871 to rule them out or see if I can find a death for Andrew & marriage for Martha & James. |

I've just had an exciting message from someone regarding my tree - the 2 families are indeed the same people. They fled Somerset after 'James Hall' was accused of sheep stealing. He then went on to change names. |

I still can't find a death for Andrew Chidgey or a marriage between James & a Martha Chidgey to tie the two families together but I'll keep looking a bit longer for you. |

Larceny is theft. Unfortunately the image gives no more infi regarding what he was accused of stealing. The whole page is full of people in court for Larceny. |
