Hi I am wondering if anybody may Know the above. I have recently found out that my mother was born between 1930-1935 and not in the 1940 as first thought. I have checked records and have come across 21 Edna Mary`s born between 1930-1935. I have also found out from court papers that when I was adopted my mother was very reluctant to give me up, but for reasons that she was not married at the time she had no choice. If anybody does have any information then I would be very grateful. For anybody who is doing a search for Taylors from 1930-1935, please feel free to email me as I have the records for that time period. If you do require them please send me an email address so I can send you a copy of the register.

I suggested Chris contact Chelsea library and ask for occupants of the above address for the relevant year

I have just spotted your new post Chris

Here..............

Hi Folks, thought I would let you know there is a new sting in the tail re my mother. after contacting chelsea libarey today, the lady accedently sent me electrol register for number 22 Sydney Street Chelsea instead of 33 as I requested for electrol register from 1951-1953, by chance I looked at the names and who should I find but Edna name for 22 Sydney Street, so it seems that she moved from 33 to 22.
Now for what I am given to understand that women did not get pregant during the early days or register for voting till they were 21. So now I beginning to think that Edna would have been born between 1925 to 1930. If anybody has any ideas I would be very grateful.
Kind regards
Chris

Chris.......

Women/girls got pregnant at all different ages.

You are right about the electoral roll, but I think it was for over 21yrs, but Edna could have been named after her mother/grandmother, that maybe Ednas mother you are looking at.
Was she the only occupant?

Is anybody else still wondering - Edna Who?

Ah. The post is on the Taylor "surname board", which is why Chris can see the name and nobody else can, and why Chris sees his posts right together and for us they were nowhere near each other. Chris, we're all reading the general Trying to Find board.

When you click on Trying to Find, next click here:

"To list the entire trying to find board again click here"

and you'll see the problem.
