helo thanks to hetty i have had confirmed what i had found..now the final piece of the puzzle...i am trying to find the parents of mary lee c1836....she had 3 illegitamate children marrying james brownlee 6 years after the last one was born..the husband died 2 years later...in 1851 and 1861 census mary was living with her grandfather robert lee c 1792 he was a book seller..i think robert married margeret carlcross 1816...but his is already a widower in 1851...through out her life mary lived in all saints newcastle upon tyne.. i cannot find robert or any of his children in the 1841 census......i am sending for a marriage cert..but if someone can find parents prior to it arriving i could go on researching...regards linda |
