I cannot really search for John Watson via other trees, or any other way, as I know so little about him except that he was Mayor of Durham in 1869 and had a son called Thomas. I am working my way through the info you sent, thankyou, but some of it relates to Chapel Hill, U.S.A, which discounts that. I have just sent off for the marriage certiicate for Mary Watson Durham and will try to work it that way. Thank you again for your interest. Jean
