Is there a chance these two Johns are related?

This is a reissue phrased differently due to previous confusion!!!
I have been castigated by several people to whom i offer my apologies Hopefully this will read better and create less doubt as to my query!!
So please read it all and note what i already know

I am trying to find a link between
John Vale b 1792 Bucktberry Essex, who married a Charlotte Bottom in 1828 and Had a son Reuben b1833 who has a son Harry b1863 (please remember Harry, he crops up later)
All this info i have on Certs and records
This John worked as a Gasworks labourer and is shown on Reubens Marriage Cert

And his possible relationship to

John Vale b1817 in Stifford or Stanford le Hope Essex
who on the census of 1871 shows Harry b 1863 as his son ,and on the 1881 census he is shown as nephew
BTW cannot find Harry on the 1891 census but he lived in Swan Place Southwark in Dec 1891
John b1817 also worked in a Gasworks and ended up as manager at Wimbledon His faher is also shown as John Vale Labourer Got census returns and marr cert confirm this

My conjecture is this
John b1792 married about 1810 or so ( i have a possible wedding in London, but not sure why the marriage was there and not Essex ) and had John b 1817(there may well have been other offspring). the wife died after this (between 1817 and 1818) and he remarried in 1828 making John b1817 and Reuben b1833 step brothers

The connections/links i am basing this on are
Both johns born within 20 miles of each other
Both worked in Gasworks
John b1817 takes over the well being of Reubens son Harry following Reubens death in 1869

So all this i know, what i would like thoughts on , if you have got this far and not fired of info already to hand, is How strong do YOU think the link is between John b1792 John b1817 and reuben b1833?
Hopefully this reads a bit better than the previous missive
I have made one visit to the Essex RO but no trace of Births/christening or marriage og either John. Only found one reference to a Peter Vale who married in Buttsbury (Bucktbury) in 1788

Thanks in advance

Sorry but how can you order a birth certificate for someone born in 1817!!

Karen
Thats the problem, the dates are really the blocking point
The Marr certs show John Vale Labourer as the father, and John b1817 looks after Reubens son. There has to be a link but there is nothing concrete to back it up
I was hoping one of the experts on here might put forward their opinion

Karen,
I am inclined towards accepting the conjecture as fact, . But would really like some other proof. It is only because we ( myself and another researcher) chased a William Vale (one of Johns sons) and only found out that there were two of them!! Hers is a real barrel of worms, that i dont want another John Vale poppoing out of the woodwork to stymie it all

Karen
Thought of that and would imagine it would be one of his sons or his wife

just a little bump up to the top again, surely someone else must have some thoughts on this?
