Find Ancestors

Hi,

I am trying to find an earlier census record for Albert Bennett B.1868. I have the 1911 census which shows him with his second wife Ellen Harris and children. I would really like to find him with his first wife Agnes Magadaline Laight and also with his parents (there names are unknown).

Any help would be appreciated.

James, do you have a likely location? where was Albert born?

Hi,

He was born in Studley, Warwickshire and I believe they still lived around this area, as in the 1911 census he is living in Great Alne, Alcester, Warwickshire.

not finding a marriage to Agnes as yet

That looks to be there marriage. Are the two people below related to that marriage?

The possible birth looks about right, he was born in 1868 but still could be him. What does the 'source ciatation' mean?

I've only found a 1905 birth for that name ( edited in my first post ) wonder if it was her 2nd marriage to him??

Hi James,

Take it you do not have either marriage cert, which would give his fathers name there are a couple of poss if he is in the area indicated, however does not seem to be a second marriage showing......where did you get this info from.

Realised I have made a mistake (it's late, and I should of gone to bed ages ago!), Albert was never married to Agnes Laight, his son was.

Any info on Albert Bennett with his family would be apreciated.

Albert's son Arthur Bennett B. 1914 married Agnes Laight, any info if they had any children would be brilliant.

The other 2 people are just on the same page not related but married the same time as your ancesters.

I think it's the letters they use for each census ie RG11 =1881.

I think the births would have to be after 1935 as he would only been 18 and this would be 5 years before they got married if the early finding of there marriage in 1940 is correct.
