Member Since: May 2005 Posts: 27 Send Message	I have already looked at the parish records at Bodvean (and Llannor also)but could not find a record of marriage or birth for Jonnett Roberts. I also have a copy of Index to Marriages in Dwyfor North Wales for 1813 - 1837 (published by Gwynedd Family History Society) and there is nothing about the marriage in that either. I am seriously considering going to the National Library of Wales to see if they can help me.

	Are you able to access parish records of Bodvean, Caernarfonshire to see whether the couple married there? There may be Banns which give a little information about the groom too. Gwyn

I have now been able to confirm that her father was William Roberts,mother Jonnet Roberts, sister Margararet Roberts, and they were all born in Bodvean, Caernarfonshire. I dont have any of the children's birth certificates as they were all born before 1837. I have their baptism dates - Thomas 25/01/1829, Janett 07/11/1830, Jane 30/11/1833, Margaret 3/02/1837. They were all baptized in Llannor, Caernarfonshire. There was also Richard born about 1826, but I have unable to find any trace of his baptism. I presume that Richard was their first child. Where do I go next ? ? ? ? ? ?

	I think you need to work backwards from Jannett. It is likely that she remarried and as that would be after 1837, you should have her father named on that later marriage certificate. This information will help you to find her earlier marriage. The witnesses at either marriage may also provide clues. Gwyn

Member Since: May 2005 Posts: 27 Send Message	I am trying to find the birth / christening and marriage of John Thomas . He was born about 1803 and died 1837, buried in Llannor church. His wife was called "Jannett" (differenet spellings in some censuses) - her maiden name could be Roberts and she was born in Boduan, Caernarfonshire. they lived after their marriage in Llannor, Caernarfonshire . I do not have any other information about John Thomas but would love to find out more
