am now trying to trace the above person who was born in ireland 5th june 1886 died 1969 falmouth

he married ada merrifield 1910

There are people who do Irish lookups on here and on the records office thread.

ok so trying to sort which of the info on here that is relevant.

Is Ada and childrens info correct?

right now i am getting somewhere
he was born in old castle ireland 5/06/1886..

can anyone advise me how to go about tracing family in ireland please

i now think i have been barking completely up the wrong tree with my gt grandfathers name...god only knows why..?


i can not find though a birth for a henry joseph mcginn??

this is now getting very strange..have checked on 1911 census and ada mcginn is living in falmouth and has been married one yr but no husband with her...

now this is the confusing bit
joseph mcginn is listed as single still living with parents in 1911..
have i got the wrong mcginns??

Remember the first marriage posted was onegroom for two brides and there was a figure missing from the reference.
We found him in with the complete reference. Same date and place. Hence my comment the other half.

The marriage record shows Mr McGinn's first name as HENRY

thank you all for your help...not sure where Ada was born but annie g has got the marriage right..
i am quite new to all this so will have to take it slowly with digesting the rest of the kind info found for me...
i believe that Ada's husband George Joseph was in the navy which would account for the 1911 census having no record of him living in falmouth..
need to dig more but very difficult as my dad George henry Arthur mcginn,s son lives in Philippines and very bad connection...


hoping someone will know why george(joseph) moved from durham to falmouth and where ada was when they met??

trying to find out what i can about my gt grandmother she was married to george joseph(went by joseph) i think mcginn and they lived in falmouth they married in 1910,which means ada was pregnant with my granfather george henry arthur mcginn when she married...and went on to have a futher 5 children 2 of which died at birth...
