He married a Elizabeth Tannatt yet on the 1901 Census he claimed to be a Widower yet according to my research and others who have helped, his wife was apparently still alive and ther's no record of a second marriage. I would really like to find out though who his father was, |

Yes, that's what confused me. There doesn't appear to be anything on earlier Census's with 1864 birth, or even 1862 or 1865 that you can say is definitely him. |
