I am trying to find out more information on my great great grandfather Francis Evans and his wife Hannah Shenton, he was born about 1800 and died in 1876, Hannah was born about 1809 both born in Staveley,Derbyshire. The information i need is when they got married, there first child was born in 1829/30, i am trying to make sure i have the correct maiden name for Hannah Shenton? I have not been able to get anymore information on Hannah eg parents names, any help would be appreciated.

Hi Barbara,
Thanks for your help, i do have these names and information, but i wanted to get a birth certificate for Hannah Evans but could not find the correct birth, so i sent for a certificate of a sister Eliza listed on the 1851 and 1861 census and the mothers maiden name states Shenton, could there be a spelling mistake on the birth certificate and it should be Sheldon, this is why i am having problems.
