im trying to find out any details at all on my grand mother esther mitchell.The only details i have are she was born in 1905 at keith,scotland and married donald grant in1925 at the parish of rothiemay,banffshire. i have no parents ors death of this lady ...any help would be most welcome |

Do you have her marriage cert? Her parents' names should be on it but I cannot find the marriage on scotlandspeople - the only Grant/Mitchell marriage in 1925 does not either of those first names and I cannot find a marriage between an Esther Mitchell and Donald Grant between 1920 and 1930 any where in Scotland. |

Her marriage certificate will give her parents' names including her mother's maiden surname. The marriage certificate will be available from http://www.scotlanspeople.gov.uk £6 for 30 credits - 1 credit to view search results an 5 to view entry. Her birth certificate will also be available there and it will give you the date and place of her parent's marriage. |
