I have a Sarah Ann Turner born Norwich 1838 she was married to John Davies born Camarthen 1824, cannot locate parents for either of them. Would i only find them in parish records because of dates ? fairly new to this so all help is appreciated !! Tina

Do you know when they married?
Buying the marriage cert would give you their fathers' names.
I can't find a marriage on FreeBMD and Ancestry is down at the moment.
Getting her birth cert would give you both her parents' names.

Read the Absolute Basics thread. Where did they marry? Where have you found them in census? Who was eldest child? How do you know the wifes surname?

Unfortunately IGI has very few Norfolk records but you could try freereg or norfolk transcription archive

How sure are you of 1838 for a birth? The closest one showing on FreeBMD is 1843.

Thanks for all replys, Births for Sarah and John were given to me by a family member so i will need to check before i send for certs a lady on rootsweb came up with their marriage Mar 1859 when looking for something else ! Tina
