I am trying to trace information about my great grandmother and her parents / siblings / grandparents. She was born Margaret Ann Roberts in Llanrwst around 1881. She married Albert Leonard Simpkin of Loughborough and they had four children, Sarah Ann, Florence May, Leonard and Frank. |

There are a few possibilities unfortunatelyt! Do you have her marriage cert? Her father's name might help, also possibly witnesses as often family members. |

I think Llanrwst comes under Denbigh for 1911. |

Thanks for your help everyone! I really didn't know where to start as I have limited information on her (until recently I was looking for someone with a competely different surname thanks to my mum!!) and it seems to be a very common name in that area! Janet, that does look like the right marriage as I know that their daughter Florence was born in that year in Chester so that is a great help! I guess if I order the marriage certificate that will give me a little more information. Thanks again for all of your replies! I will be so happy to be able to trace this section of my family! |

Thanks for that Vivienne! I also had a look on free bmd and also managed to find a year of birth and death that might fit. With your info I will be able to order a marriage and death certificate. Shame he can't be found on the census anywhere though and he doesn't seem to be on any other trees on here either :-( Oh well, maybe an excuse for a visit to the land of my ancestors!! :-) |
