After a good look at the image ,which is awfully faded, that one is a Carter/Farm worker anyway.

No, i dont think he went with any other family member - he was actually sent to Canada because he got a girl pregnant but why Canada I haven't a clue. I dont know of any other family connections with Canada. x

Would Stanley have gone to Canada with other Williams?
There is one going out in 1913 but he is with a few others.

His attestation papers are here:

Next-of-kin is his mother at same address as where she died.

Hi

I am trying to find out whether Stanley Edward Williams was still living in England in 1911. He emigrated to Canada where he joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He died in Vimy Ridge in 1918 aged 28

He was born in 1890 in Croydon,Surrey to Emily Virtue Williams and John Alexander Williams and in 1901 age 11 he was living at 19 Parker Road,Croydon. His mother still lived at the same address at the time of her death in 1917.

If anyone can help it would be appreciated

Thanks

Rosie
