Find Ancestors

looking for any information regarding my partners grandfather. Albert Hughes born 1896. Married Elizabeth Neild 1923, i am interested to know if there were any brothers or sisters and also any ancestors. Born in the Denbigh area of north wales.

Is there area prestwich, Lacashire. Found a marriage record

Albert E Hughes Neild Jul-Aug-Sep 1923 Prestwich Lancashire. Checked 1901 census and has too many for Lacashire to narrow it down. Do you have any more info?

Buy the marriage cert to find out the father's name and occupation - this will make searching more likely to produce accurate results.

The place where he married may not have been his birthplace, so the more info you can find in advance, the more the chance of success.

The names of the witnesses to the marriage may also prove helpful

He was born in the Denbigh area of north wales and i think his father was Thomas Edward Hughes and mother Charlotte williams ( but not really sure of this)

1901 census does not have any results for Albert Hughes with parents Thomas and Charlotte

Thanks once again, and yes once again you are correct. My mistake and i apologise for leading you up the garden path, he was born in Holywell, Flintshire and i think lived around Mostyn. Do you think it strange that there is no record in the 1901 census ? if in fact Thomas and Charlotte are the parents then i have Charlotte dying in 1905 and Thomas dying in1957.
