Trying to trace Galvine Mutter married Isabel Alexander in Lasswade Scotland 14th March 1683. I am guessing he would hav e been born1665 approximately. Also any info on Isabel, I dont have her maiden name. His place of birth was Lasswade.

And where did your other thread go?

Should other people now feel free to repeat the work done in it?

Janey,
Carol has sent me a pm.
She is very new to both GR & computers & as yet is not familiar with the set up, so I feel we have to make allowances.

Kind Regards
Kath

Unfortunately, as is apparent, no one is now going to touch this thread with a 10-foot pole, because obviously a lot of research has already been done and deleted. I know I'm not interested in having work I do deleted, and I'm also not at all interested in repeating what has already been done.

I'm surprised that it would occur to someone new to the site to delete a thread.

Perhaps if Carol wants more assistance she will copy the information already obtained into this thread, assuming it has been saved somewhere.

Janey,
A lot of research hasn't been done!
I just asked Carol if the information I had posted on her other thread was correct. She is not asking for repeat research on Galvine & Isabel, she was trying to go back a further generation from the information I had given her previously on this couple's son.

As for not touching it with a ten foot pole --- that's okay, I will help Carol myself if I can or perhaps someone with a little understanding will be kind enough to help her.

Incidentally, the other thread in question has not been deleted, it is on the Surname Information board.

The other thread iis still there

I think it is just a beginner's mistake starting this one. Carol has used the information given on it to post this thread to try to get back another generation.

Perhaps she should have added here that she has the information on Galvine and Isabel's son, James which has led her to this couple.

No comment or apology then?
