Martin Report 17 Nov 2009 16:48

Looking for any lead on Thos. Robinson, clockmaker, about 1821, Sheffield. I have a tall-case ('grandfather') clock, with this name and place painted rather crudely on the dial, and I know its history, at least in outline, during the last century or so. Unusual in that the case is made of oak. Keeps excellent time. Machinery apears to be mass-produced.
