Alan Edwards lived with my family in Walthamstow in the 1940's and 50's. He was only a child then born about 1927. Grew up with my mother as her brother and they were very close. At one point he was a soldier in Burma I think and later married and moved to Harlowe Essex. Any information please? Would love to know what happened to him

Do you think he was born in Essex? (I'm assuming that is where Walthamstowe is!). If so, surprisingly there are only 4 and all with initials, so might not be quite as impossible as it seems!

At that time Walthamstow was in Essex I believe although it now forms part of London. I would assume that Alan had been born in the surrounding area but we have no information as to his family. I won't go into details here but seems to be a sad story. My mother and he were very close when they were young and then lost touch when he moved to Harlowe after being married. He may well have passed away by now, but my mother would like to know what happened to him. I have a photograph of him taken in Burma and he looks a lot like Errol Flynn, lol !!!

Which 4 entries do you refer to? I am being a bit thick here I think. Thanks for your comments

I found 4 births in Essex around 1927, on Ancestry. You are welcome to have them, I'll send them on by PM.
