I've been told by expert that Cornelius Taylor, father of my late mother in law May Rosina Taylor, could have been born in Ireland, also May, as we cannot get a birth cert for her and cannot find her in 1901 and 1911 census. |

Which area did she marry and live? It could also be that her father was deceased and she just said by memory or made up a father. |

May's birth date is given on her death cert. by eldest son as 13.10.1897, supposed to have been born in Leyton/Leytonstone area of London. But ONS cannot find her. She was 21 when she got married in March 1918 to Albert Saunders. May died 1982. |

Thanks for latest info. I did wonder re. 1901 census, Cann Hall area is near 7 Pearcroft Rd. Looking at other members of the family, May didn't use these names for her own children though. |

Yes, the birth calculation is correct - if she told the truth on her marriage cert |

From past info about AA - I think he suggests an 'Irish connection' whenever he gets stuck |

Yes, he said it sounds like as if there is an Irish connection due to the name Cornelius Taylor. Mind you my husband has a middle name of Patrick, you couldn't get more Irish than that eh! |
