I have Thomas Ryman Spouse Name: Mary Ann Rolfe Record Type: Marriage Event Date: 30 Nov 1834 Parish: Saint Mary, Newington County: Middlesex Borough: Southwark
but looking at the banns they dont give a great deal of info unlike later ones. The names of witnesses are Sarah Rolfe and what looks like Uriah Allender. Neither of these names I recognise or can fit in my tree anywhere.
the other issue I have is on the 1841 census I have him here ...

Relates to him as on the 1871 census Mary is listed as Widow/head
What I am wondering is how would I go about finding his parents/Family do I head off down the Peckham route or the Hertfordshire route, I cant seem to find any birth registration that tallies up with the information. Ive used the rym* and Tho* trick, had dates every which way I can and am at a loss!!
Any pointers would be great.

Ahh that would explain alot, didnt realise they rounded it up or down! .. also answers a few other oddities in some other lines of the family.
That family look like they would be a great place to start, I Suppose alot of stuff will be speculation and guess work piecing them all together.
typing out loud .. so I need to find a link between Thomas' father and John Ryman ie brothers or cousins .. Thomas' father would have been born roughly 1786 at the latest ..... and knowing that Thomas is a name passed down to the son of the Thomas I am looking for ... Thomas Ryman B. 1775 could be a good contender for being his father.. as could Richard but he may well be that bit "too old" .. however I suppose the other possibility is his mother was an unmarried Ryman!
Thankyou for pointing those out ... I have just had a look for info about Albury and it seems to be a small village . are churches willing to offer information over phones or via the mail? or is it better to visit first hand? wonder if it may be handy to take a trip there and see if there is any more information I might pick up
many thanks again xx

Hi,
I only came across John Ryman from Peckham........... so i wonder if his father made the move from Herts??
Like you say the family from Aldbury, could be a link......... Thomas moving from there to stay with Uncle John, but all speculation at the mo though.
It maybe worth contacting the Chuch, however I would try this first.......... there is this site;
http://www.ukvillages.co.uk
Type in Aldbury in the search bar they provide......... and they have a Heritage & Genealogy page, you may get lucky???
