Hi, I am looking for any information/relatives about Mark Green who is my great great Uncle. He was born at West Stanley, Co. Durham in 1889 and had brothers Thomas Henry Green and John James Green plus sisters Elizabeth and Eliza. He married Ethel temple in 1913. The brothers John James and Mark moved to Nottingham just after WWI and I believe Mark had a son William who joined the police. Also I believe William may have had a son who was a newsreader on the TV, his name was Michael. Any help would be welcome. Many thanks, Russ

I have recently found out through a relative that his full name was
Mark Augustus Thornton Green
I was hoping that being an unusual name this might help with any further information. I also wondered if he served in WWI? His brothers did, John James Green won the MM as a Tunneller.

It is worth noting that in the 1891 census Mark is just six weeks old. Making him born February 1891.

Hi,
I am trying to order the death certificate for my great grandfather, Thomas Henry Green and cannot seem to find him on the BMD site. I wondered if anyone could help. His details are...
Thomas Henry Green, born 1879 at Willington / Brancepeth Colliery, County Durham. He died I believe in Shotton Colliery, Co. Durham on 14/07/1922 as a result of contracting malaria whilst fighting in Salonika during WWI.
Many thanks,
Russ
