Hi,

I am research the Corbett side of my family and have come to a dead end. William Corbett (b.1846 Co.Down, Ireland) and Margarite Anne Bickerstaff (b.1848 Co. Down, Ireland) moved over to Hartlepool at some point between 1869 and 1881. Two of their sons (William Hugh, b. 29/08/1866 and Samuel b. 1869) were born over in Belfast, Ireland.

Any information about the family before they came to Hartlepool would be much appreciated. One source indicates that Margarite Bickerstaff may have come from Enoch, Co.Down but I cannot seem to locate this place.

I would also appreciate any ideas as to how to discover details from Ireland as it is proving very difficult to research my family over there.

Thank you,

Helen
