Skinner Street Poole Dorset

My late husbands family tell of a family member in the 1700 or 1800's who bought a row of houses in Skinner Street in Poole in Dorset. And sold them a few years later apart from one which it was agreed would be given use to a female family member until she died or left the property. Anyone know anything about this ? Maria.
