Wonder if anyone out there can help. Have three Carter siblings I am looking for who were born in London area. Their parents were William and Jane.
Thomas Armstrong Carter born 24 Jan 1882 - district of Dalton and baptised in St John's Hackney. In 1911 he was in Woolwich district. Cannot find a marriage as there are SO many Thomas A Carter's in Middlesex. He possibly moved around during/after WW1. In 1901 census he was a clerk - Bromley/Bow district. Family say he had a Rex Auto Cycle and in 1907 was a member of Cycle Auto Club in Mayfair.

William Charles Carter born 14 Oct 1883 also in Dalton district - baptised Hackney 1884 - I know nothing else about him.
The above sons had a sister Jeannie Emily born 1887 (married H Wilde) and a brother Alexander Francis Armstrong born 1888( whom I have already researched)
Can anyone help ith any of the other siblings
Thanks

Andrew

Andrew and Astra
Thanks to both of you for info on William Charles - it certainly could be the the one I am looking for.
I do have William (the father of William Charles) down as a commercial traveller. Thanks so much.

This is when we wish we had REALLY unusual names!!

Thanks Gillian
I had found the marriage but not the birth of Gordon. I do know some of the Carters lived in West Ham area so that would make sense.
Thanks

Astra - that is really interesting about Thomas Carter being the Manager of a Motorcycle Manufacturers.
I had heard that most of the Carter men were interested in cars and motorbikes (and they still are!!!)
Will have to try and follow that one up
Thanks again
