Hi Carol,I looked on Ancestry and free bmd,for Beatrice Roberts b 1930-34,as she may have been named after mum. There are quite a few on anc. and three on freebmd.

Hey Gerry, thanks. That death can't be her, she was definitely born around 1904 and I think that is her marriage in 1922.

I think I need to get a copy of the death cert from 1962 to see if it is my Beatrice.

I guess I'm not going to find her daughter until I know her name!

Yes, I've tried free BMD. Not knowing the girl's name nor a more accurate year of birth has made it difficult. (My dad just remembers her being a few years younger than her brothers.) I'm a member of ancestry.co.uk and I've had no luck.

I found Lawrence too but he's no relation - well, he might be related to Fred Roberts but it's Beatrice's line I'm interested in.

i can't find a girl.....there is a boy called Lawrence 1927 that was registered in the same district as Kenneth & Dennis

There is also a boy called Frederick born 1923

have you looked on FreeBMD for any of the births

I'm trying to locate the birth of a girl, surname Roberts, born in approx 1934 in Cornwall. Her parents were Fred and Beatrice Roberts (maiden name Knight). She had two older brothers, Kenneth born 1924 and Dennis born 1926.

I'm also trying to find out when her mother died. I found a death registration for Beatrice M Roberts (which matches) for 1962 in Camberwell but, as far as I know, she didn't leave Cornwall. My dad (her nephew) thinks she died when he was quite young, so sometime in the late 1940s, possibly early 1950s.

Any suggestions gratefully received.
