am looking for any information about frederick William Ambrose Young 1914 -1960, born duchess rd , sheffield, married Jessica slack. Father's name Frank William Young born approx 1897 in Nottingham, a grenadiere guard, died approx 1945 in Sheffield, married Edith adelaide. Hello everyone ! I'm stuck again. This time with Frank Ambrose Young born 1891 in Nottingham. The only thing I know is that he was one of a family of twelve, could mean 10 or 12 siblings , how do I find his parents and siblings?

Since you know when and where he was born and died, who he married and who his parents were ... what information are you looking to find, lol?

You have found the marriage of Frank William Young and Edith Adelaide at FreeBMD? Is Adelaide her surname, probably not?

How about the parents' births?

The marriage certificate will give you the fathers' name to use for confirming you have the right births.


Have you looked for Frank and Edith in the 1911 census?

If you find one of them definitely you can then search for other people with the surname living with them in the same place. If the names are too common it may not work without paying, but give it a try and if no luck someone here with a subscription can help (I don't have). The 1911 census would give you Frank and Edith's parents and siblings, again subject to confirmation with the birth and marriage certificates.

This birth ref gives you his mothers maiden name which is Briscoe.

I have checked the image and it is most definately an A for the middle initial.
