Is anyone able to look up Fanny Wood b 1869 in Ware, on the 1911 census she would be living in Hertfordshire. I would very much like to know where she was and who she was living with. Hope this is not too much to ask. I'm determined to make 2010 the year when I break through the brick wall surrounding my mother's family.

Have you tried to find her yourself? 1911 is free to search

Was she actually Fanny? Or Frances?

Was Wood definitely her name in 1911?

Doing a free search:

WOOD FANNY F 1870 41 Ware Hertfordshire
WOOD NELLIE DORIS F 1895 16 Ware Hertfordshire

EDIT don't get cross Freewheel! You are right I know, but already done so seems churlish to remove it!

Done some searching myself - but it makes sense to ask the question....lol!

In view of the ages of the people with her, I'm not sure why 1901 didn't break the brick wall...................

Thanks you so much all of you. That is the only proof that I have of my mother ever living with her own mother. Mum was fostered and knew nothing of her birth family. Since she died over 30 years ago, I've been able to find the birth cert of her sister Gertrude but haven't been able to trace any of her siblings. Strangely Fanny is down as a widow on the birth cert of Gertrude and Beatrice!
