In familysearch.org the batch number: 7126429 shows up many of the Wards. Perhaps there are some clues there.

Trying to find the birth of Benjamin Ward c. 1750. His sons George Augustus and Robert were wealthy merchants/landowners in the Wisbech area in the first half of the 19th century. Benjamin lived in Peterborough in the 1770s, but I can't find out where he came from. There are several possibilities in various parts of the country, but nothing obvious.
Would appreciate any clues to get back further.
