Can anyone please help?
I am trying to find details of an Great Uncle from Ireland I have just found out existed.
He was my Nana Bridget Wards Brother who we believe to be younger.
John Ward was born in Ireland around c1916 and his siblings were born in Londonderry or Ballymagowen Ireland.
All I know is John was my Nanas favourite and he was away at sea a lot and ended up living in the USA.
I would any details of him I can find but have struggled with all the Irish side of my roots. Can anyone help please.
Regards Donna

Johns parents were William Ward and Mary nee Rodgers.

It comes to light that John was left on the doorstep of the parents house and he was brought up as theirs and possibly adopted. He worked on the luxury cruise liners and we believe he had a few women in different ports. He was linked to lady called Connie from Leicester whom he had a child with but also a wife in Southampton and a lady in America wom he was rumoured to have married also. He died at sea from a burst ulser around his early 40's...sounds like a character..can anyone help? please..
