William Bennett Snr Help!!!

Help.
Have come to a dead end trying to determine which William Bennett is my GGGG Grandfather.

His son (also)William Bennett (also same occupation as a Hawker) 1834-1907 married lucy Stanley in Cromhall Glos in 1879, his birthplace is listed as Essex in 2 census records.

I Have found dozens of William Bennetts with sons named William , all of which have the right sort of ages.

Any advice on how to determine which one is correct would be very welcome.

Also anyone with William or Lucy in their tree with any details would be appreciated.

If the William mentioned is her husband he is also listed as being born in Glos. He is also down as Ag Lab.

There are 2 William Bennetts on this particular entry
My William-married to matilda is the one who's occupation is listed as a Hawker although his place of birth is claimed to be in Boston USA!!

the only other entrys I have found have him born in Wigby Essex and Roghtford in Essex?

I have a fair few possibles on the census records for his parents if Essex is correct but have no way to confirm any.
