Where did you find the information about their immigration, Sally?

I have not renewed subscription to anything so can only do a basic search.

Do you know if Archibald went to Australia too.

I have found Joseph, Rosetta and Kathleen going to Sydney from London in 1921 gives Kathleens year of birth as 1919.

OH MY GOSH! That had never occured to me. That would definitely cause a stir- and I am told that the brother and sister were close...

Even if that were the case, shouldn't there still be a birth certificate?

I can't help wondering whether Kathleen was not the natural child of Joseph & Rosetta

The age gap between Archibald and Kathleen is significant......and there is definitely no sign of a birth.

She could even be Archibald's child...............

Kathleen was born 20-21 years after Archibald and when she was 2 the family emigrated to Sydney.

She married Edward Ernest Simpson in 1942 and I have just ordered their marriage certificate. Both parents were alive at the marriage, so I can hope that the details are correct.

Her middle name (stated on all documents in Australia) is Patricia.

It's big gap, though, from 1896 to 1918!

I am trying to find the birth of my grandmother Kathleen Moore circa 1918/19. Her parents were Joseph Moore and Rosetta (nee. perhaps Hobbins). Born somewhere in Birmingham, UK There was also a son Archibald, c.1896

Any information or suggestions would be great- I cant find anything.
