My grandmothers older sister, different father, always put the name of her father wrong on the three marriages as she never knew him

Glitter baby..........i hav seen the marrige entry from althorne church of which i ahve a copy and it lists her father as HARRY CARTER (deceased) it was witnessed by Harry Copsey and Ellen Mabel warner

thats the one thank you liver bird .........although i had already sorted one mystery Ethel may was born before her marriage and registered as a carter then appears as an overall in 1911....

Copsey......her marriage was w=itnessed by a harry copsey and i hav just found Alice carter marriage In 1888 in maldon essex...god why didnt i think of that myself .............got bogged down with the harry carter that was listed on her marriage certificate ...............why would she have done that i wonder ?????????????

Yes it does give say mayland Essex ..............god i am dumb didnt think of that will look for marriage of her mother after her birth

Please could you assist me with this one, My great grandmother was born as florence Carter reg maldon essex Q4 1886, but she doesnt appear on census in 1891 or 1901,she married James Overall in althorne essex on 10 nov 1906 fathers name Harry Carter. He doesnt seem to exist either on 1911 census florence place of birth is listed as mayland essex. so i hav her bith certificate and her mothers name was alice carter and she was illigitimtte but this still doent explain where she disappeared 2 on census in both 1891 and 1901 .
