I am trying to find Phyllis Ward - David Ward adop

David Ward's birth was registered 1st Qtr 1947 Scarboro' district Vol 1B Page 1574 mothers maiden name Ward, so seens probable she was unmarried. A copy of the birth certificate should show her address at time of registration. Phyllis Ward (nee Lazenby) was living in Norfolk at the time with her husband and three children.

Phyllis Lazenby 1905 Goole parents Joseph Lazenby 1870 Goole and Mary Elizabeth Daniels born about 1872 registered in Scarborough.

Joseph and Mary married Tadcaster 1892 .Joseph must have died between the birth of Phyllis and 1907 as Mary E then married John Greenwood born 1880 Church Fenton Yorks in 1880.

1911 says Mary E was born Saxton Yorks 1870.

Yes Joseph died it was registered in Goole march 1906

If you have or could get birth certificate it should say if Phylis was married or single.
Does it say that on adoption papers?

The marriage of the Phylis lazenby was to Stanley O Ward.

Found a Stanley Oliver Ward born 1903 in Cosford Suffolk
There are two births in Cosford one 1934 male and one 1936 female mum nee Lazenby.

Are you certain of the birth date ? A Phyllis Lazenby (1905) of Goole married a Ward (1933) and moved to East Anglia where she was in 1947, However there was a lot of movement during the war years and she had relatives who lived in Scarboro.

Have you put all those names in your family tree on here, to see if any matches come up?
Also, your Dad and/or you can register on the Adoption Contact Register at the General Records Office (just google it).
Also, try NORCAP.

I am trying to trace my dads family, (his adoptive parents) His adoptive name is David Crack his birth name was David Ward, and he was born on the 14th March 1947 he was adopted and is not aware of any of his family members, Here is all I know I have a photocopy of his adoption certificate. On his adoption certificate he was registered as been born in Scarborough, Yorkshire. His mothers name was Phyllis Ward and his father was unknown. I have no further details. Any help/asistance would be gratefully accepted.
