I think we are supposed to be looking for the Death,emigration of Charles Phillip Baker 1878 ish really Jill..:).

I cant find him on pasengers though,but there be 259 to choose from .

And no deaths that try slapping me in the face !

Shame its not a more unusual name,Bakers come by the Dozen..........

No - looking at the list from the 1911 there doesn't seem to be a connection - but at least you could eliminate these ones ...

There is this death of a Philip with middle initial E ,but I dont see one aged 3?

Charles mother - Florence. Sister Lily (married name Hammond). He married Marie (Mary) Turner, in Croyden. Their children were Vera, Edna, Dora, Daphne. Charlie Roelof, Raymond de Vere and Philip who died aged 3 . Charles disappeared and did not contact his family again - if anyone can offer any information him it would be gratefully received.
