Hi Unfortunalty his adoption papaers were distroyed in a house fire and because he has passed away it is proving difficult to get any further with finding anything out without it costing a fortune . We know hid birth name was Derick Roberts from his birth certificate and from his adoption papers which i remember seeing . Do you know if Warks record office have voters lists from that time regards |

I can't find a birth for a Jane E. Roberts or a Jane Ellen Roberts anywhere around the area of Warwickshire so I'm not sure how you will be able to find the right one as there are lots of births for Jane E.Roberts.. It is also possible that if the birth of your husband was in the 1940's that she was already married as a lot of people during the war gave birth to children who were not their husband's - which could be a reason for him being given up. |
