In the 1911 cencus Frederick Cooper 1883 is listed as being a licensee in Rotherhithe London which was also his birth place. He was married to Alice Cooper & had a 1 yr old son also called Frederick. I think this man might be my Grandfather as he had a child out of wedlock in 1914 which was my mother. I think he was in the Navy in WW1. Any info regarding frederick would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Angie

Angie, may I ask why you think he is your Frederick Cooper? Don't want you heading off down the wrong track!

Hi Jan,
Thanks for replying to my post. On my mother`s birth cert it has no mention of her father. On her marriage cert to my father1933 it names Frederick Cooper publican as her father he was deceased. On her 2nd marriage it said the same. Nobody spoke about the subject of my mother`s illigitamacy in the family. The family name of my grandmother was Cooper also my mother`s surname!
I`ve found in the cencus`s my grandmothers family the `Coopers` she also had a brother Frederick 4 yrs older than her. Both Fredericks were born in 1883, I don`t know if there was 2 different Fredericks! Any advice?
Regards, Angie
