Find Ancestors

I've found out from my g.grandfather's birth certificate his mother was Elizabeth Smith so am awaiting a marriage certificate from Shifnal. Here's hoping it's the right one.

Thanks everyone, the Elizabeth Fieldhouse wedding does look very likely. I'm going to Kew in March so will apply for a birth certificate for my g.grandfather Samuel. I must get up to Shropshire this summer and look through the parish records too.

Trying to find the birth and marriage of g.g.grandfather Robert Roberts b.c. 1824 in Madeley, Shropshire according to the census. I have him on all the census records, also his death in 1894 (seen the headstone) with his wife was Elizabeth died 1889 in Oakengates. Any help gratefully received as it's a long way to Shropshire Record Office.
