I'm trying to find out what happened to my great uncle, or any descendants that he may have had.

He was born 6 September 1885 Plumstead, but he lived in Bromley-by-Bow, which is the place of birth he gave when in the Royal West Kent Regiment on 1911 census (Quebec barracks, Headley, Alton, Hampshire).

My aunt said he was a lifetime soldier and retired to Ireland, but I don't know how to find him.

Thanks

Julie

You could try putting his name into the search tree box above to see if anyone on this site has him in their tree. If so, you can contact the tree owner. Regards. Cx.

Hi folks

Thanks for the replies. I have his birth certificate but have lost track of him after the 1911 census when he was in the Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment.

My aunt thinks he went to Ireland after he lef tthe army, but she didn't know when he left.

Regards

Julie
