Thanks for your help JaneyCanuck. Karen and I are actually in touch on occassion via e-mail and have exchanged quite a bit of Walker information already (her husband and I are both descended from David Walker). Unfortunately we're both stuck trying to find David Walker's parents. I've searched SP extensively. I have many other documents about him and his children, grandchildren, etc., but none list his parents. I actually have the original marriage bann/certificate (it's been handed down five generations now) from his wedding to Jane Thomson in 1823 but there's no mention of parents on it. Because there were many David Walkers born in Scotland during the likely timeframe in which he was born, it's a bit of a needle in a haystack. |

Nothing at ScotlandsPeople? Scottish marriage records and death records would ordinarily name parents (if known, of course). |

Hi Karen, David actually died on May 31, 1839 and was married on July 17, 1823. Hopefully that helps us find someone who might know more. Specifically a birth date and the names of his parents would be fantastic! |
