I have the marriage certificate for William Fardell. aged 21, married, November 1910. It gives his fathers name as William Louis Fardell, Deceased. Occ. Blacksmith. I cannot find either of these two people on 1891, 1901, 1910, census. Neither can I find a death record for William Louis Fardell. I have searched the BMD records between 1890 and 1910. I am obviously missing something. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

The marriage certificate says West Ham, and from what I believe Canning Town, is where they all came from. |

Sorry - should have noticed reference to 1910. If he was born post April in 1891 he would only have a chance of being with his parents in 1901. Will keep looking! |

William was aged 21 on his marriage certificate, and he married 5th November 1910, so by my calculations he would / could have been born around 1898/9 |

Thanks everyone, but I really feel that the father on the marriage certificate, William Louis Fardell, is definitely correct. Those names have been continued on down the line since then. If I could just find him on the census, I would know who he married, and then have both parents. |

I keep coming back to this birth and an adopted son in 1901 who was born in Bow. Am sure the latter is a red herring, but it is a thought |
