Louis Phillip Harris born Bramley Leeds1894.Parents Louis Harris 1869-1894 (Leeds) & Amelia Cohen 1874-1939 (Bradford). We have been searching a long time & any info would be great. Thanks Marlene

She did remarry (Stuart) but married out of faith, Louis was a Jew and in 1901 was living with his grandmother and not his mother. But I will check it out thanks Dee

E Cohen 22 Daug
B Cohen 20 Daug
B Cohen 18 Son
Louis Harris 6 Nephew

We can find nothing about Lucy having a nephew, surname of Harris. Her daughter had a son of that name so we presume that he is her grandson

Yes thats his birth, Amelia Cohen 1874 from Bradford was his mum, her first husband Louis Harris died in 1894 before the son was born. Amelia then married my Gr Grand dad Walter Stuart in 1898 in Barnsley

A tree on Ancestry with Amelia marrying walter in Wombwell 3.12.1898 she died in Leeds 1939.
The tree has 2 photos of her and photos of her children she had with stuart.

It says she was a talented pianist and taught music and played in many theatres and Cinemas.

Do you have Louis's birth certificate? If so what was his DOB... we maybe able to find a death for him on Ancestry?

Sorry Dee I missed your message it was on another page. All I know is that he was born 1894 after his father had died, we have not been able to find anything else since 1901 census. Marlene

If you cannot find the death, several possibilities:
went abroad, or just no longer Leeds area, changed name, mistake on death certificate re age, .........
Have you tried under both Louis and Phillip, and birth 1894+/-? Are you sure he married, or just an assumption?
Have we still not got anyone in 1911? If not, he could have died before then?

Hi Patricia we only have birth and 1901 census after that there is nothing. He was my grans half brother and she never mentioned him as far as we know. Not seen 1911 census yet. Thanks for your help. Marlene
